FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

1. What if I live in an HOA?

SOLAR ACCESS LAWS - These laws prohibit associations from forbidding or restricting homeowners from installing solar panels on their properties. But, these laws generally do allow HOAs to impose reasonable restrictions when it comes to the installation process, placement, and design. More often than not, the association may still require homeowners to request permission for the installation of solar panels, usually following an application and approval process.

2. What if I need a new roof?

We absolutely can include a roof replacement with your solar project along with other home efficiency improvements as well

3. Will this affect my homeowners insurance?

Most rooftop solar energy systems are covered by standard homeowners policies, which doesn't change your insurance plan. However, depending on where you live you may need to increase the amount of coverage on your home to account for the cost of the system which can then raise your premium.

4. Are there Warranties?

Solar systems are covered for 25 years

5. Do I need to put any money down?

No. Zero money down.

6. Can you get solar on a manufactured home?

It is easy to install solar panels for mobile homes. However, the property must meet the set regulations.

7. What is the lifespan of my solar panels?

Solar systems are guaranteed for 25 years, but years of monitoring and tracking solar performance tells us the “useful life” of a system is roughly 40 years. Some systems have been known to perform for over 45 years.
